Back in the 20th century, Misty Escarpment awoke from a sultry afternoon nap with purpose – to play jazz vibes.
The vibraphone, a 3 octave Jomadi Imperator, has time travelled alongside Misty into the bewildering present. Built in Spain in the late 1950s – early 1960s, the instrument mysteriously arrived on Australian shores via an Air Iberia flight.
Once in Misty’s possession, she dedicated herself to cultivating the soft melodies and chordal clouds of the vibraphone, specialising in Latin and Cool Jazz.
